Dr. Patchareeya Boonkorkaew is an Associate Professor at Kasetsart University (KU) in Bangkok, Thailand. From 2013 to 2021, she served as Associate Dean for Administration at the Faculty of Agriculture, KU. She has also served as the head of the Department of Horticulture and as the acting director of Pakchong Research Station at KU since 2021. Her area of expertise lies in plant physiology, with a focus on applying plant growth regulators in horticultural crops, environmental physiology, and the role of plants in improving air quality. She has been involved in orchid research since 1998, with a particular focus on cultivating Dendrobium orchids. Her research has practical implications for the agricultural industry, including potential improvements in vanilla production.
